Quirky farmhouse, fantastic garden, hot tub and billiard table a bit hit with adults and teenagers alike. The only negatives lack of a bbq and only one room with twin beds as we had 4 teenagers in our party.

Had a superb break at Mill Farm. Mandy and owner David are lovely and welcoming. The house is lovely and comfortable with every need catered for. We had 517 year olds they were all able enjoy the grounds and have a quiet space of their own when they needed it. Had great fun playing outside in the fabulous weather and we all loved the hot tub and snooker table. The bar kept the 9 year old occupied for hours as 'bar maid'! Serving non alcoholic drinks obviously! One note for future tall guests is access to the top floor bedrooms one has a quirky low doorway and the other a cross beam just as you walk in. The rest of the property was perfect for a multigenerational break. It has been beautifully maintained. Thank you so much to David and Mandy. We hope to see you again.

Mill Farm was everything we wanted, it is on such a big plot, we really enjoyed the outdoor activities badminton, croquet, Frizbee, the hot tub, the outdoor tables and chairs it was perfect for the weather we had. We didnt spend much time indoors, but we particularly loved the snooker room and bar and the big tables for us all to play games on the evening. The bedrooms were all really comfortable and spacious and everything was spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and helpful and nice touches with some supplies for us when we arrived. The only very small negative we had was on the day we left, they started cleaning the hot tub and doing the garden before our check out time whilst we were having breakfast, and the cleaners rushed us out at 10am on the dot. It felt very rushed. However, we appreciate it is a big property to clean. We would absolutely stay again and would recommend to others.
We had a wonderful stay at this holiday house. It was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and stressfree. The house was also very family friendly, with plenty of space and thoughtful touches that made it perfect for travelling with children. It was clean, welcoming, and in a great location. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to other families looking for a relaxing getaway.

We were a family party of 6 adults and 4 children aged 3 to 7 years, celebrating the Grandparents special Birthdays. Mill Farm has spacious accommodation for a large party with various rooms to eat and relax. The grounds are extensive, including a small playground & trampoline, which the boys really enjoyed. The house is well equipped including plenty of sports equipment. It really lived up to expectations!

We had an absolutely amazing week at Mill Farm. 7 adults, 3 children, 1 baby and 3 dogs. Plenty of space for the kids to explore and play in, lots of equipment for them to use also. The house is huge and very clean. Lots of different rooms to relax in, and a lovely outdoor patio area, perfect for early morning coffee or late evening drink of a different type! The hot tub was very relaxing, and it even has a full sized snooker table which us boys made full use of! All in all it was an amazing week and we miss it already, made all the more enjoyable by meeting the owner David and the house manager Mandy who couldnt do enough for us. We have just come back from a fantastic weekend at Mill Farm. The property is just beautiful, spacious and equipped with everything you could need. The enormous gardens are just absolutely stunning. It encompasses everything anyone could ever need from a holiday, whether its entertainment for children or peace and quiet. Its a very enchanting place and I really hope to return in the near future.
We had a wonderful week at this farmhouse. It had all we needed and was so comfortable. The dogs were well catered for too. Evenings were spent socialising, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing games and snooker. The garden is magnificent with plenty of garden games supplied and theres a dog walk directly from the house. The patio is enclosed but our big dogs could jump the fence. Theres so much to play in though that they didnt try to leave the boundaries. Fields all around and a longish drive up to the road. We never let them out alone though, but then again we wouldnt do that anywhere. Great playground for children and places to hide for hide and seek. We thoroughly recommend and will return, hopefully next year. Thank you to the team that keep it so nice.
We were guests for the second time at this wonderful property in central England. The well equipped and well maintained accomodation, gardens and surrounding areas are wonderful to experience. The house is kept in first class order with beautiful gardens and rekaxing features. We would thoroughly recommend for a large group holiday. Excellent from start to finish. The owner welcomed us shortly after arrival and could not have been more friendly or helpful. The property is just right for grandparents, parents, kids and dogs. The gardens are amazing, the kids loved the play area and all loved the hot tub. They also loved playing hide and seek in the house. Definitely recommend a visit.

Mill Farm is the most beautifully maintained property we have stayed in! . We were a family of 6 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs celebrating my 60th birthday. The gardens are stunning and huge, play area loved by the children. So many stunning features inside that we kept walking around admiring it all. Hot tub used by all, snooker room was a big hit too. Bedrooms comfortable and relaxing to sleep in. Views were gorgeous. Communication with the owner was good. We didn't want to leave.
10 of us stayed for 2 nights with 2 dogs for a 21st birthday. It was amazing, plenty of room for us all to spread out, spotlessly clean throughout and everything you could possibly need. Went away for my partners 30th birthday and couldnt have wanted more. The property was stunning!! Snooker table kept people entertained for hours with the bonus of the hot tub. The garden was beautiful just a shame we didnt have the best weather. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good size and very clean. Lovely kitchen and big table to host breakfast in the morning. Loved mill farm as soon as we arrived. Long driveway and parking for several cars. Was kindly greeted and was shown around the property. We were a group of 6 adults & 3 children. The property was clean and a welcome pack was available. All utilities especially the AGA cooker was very impressive. The benefit to us was a large table which seated all 9 of us to which we all enjoyed eating together for a much needed family gathering. The hot tub was at the right temperature when we arrived and the gardens was lovely to have a walk around after breakfast. The grandchildren love the park. The Mill Farmhouse was the perfect venue for our family to meet to celebrate a 60th birthday 8 adults and 3 children. Very well equipped, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. We had a problem with the boiler on arrival but Mandy and David went out of their way to get it sorted for us. We look forward to returning next year

We booked Mill Farm The Farmhouse for some quality time with our family 10 adults plus a baby and two dogs. On arrival first impressions were of a beautiful red brick farmhouse set in extensive landscaped gardens, we were not disappointed, the online photographs of the rooms do not do this accommodation justice. The property, a converted mill with lots of beams and exposed woodwork was spotless. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The Aga was a real blessing, unlike other cottages we have stayed in it actually worked! The house was lovely and warm, with a very homely feel. The hottub and the fullsized snooker table were well used and appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped and all of the utensils were, yes, spotless. We appreciated the welcome we received and the lovely goodies basket too. If I were to make one suggestion it would be the addition of a large casserole pan, but it is difficult to improve on perfection. The gardens are extensive and really lovely and the area is quiet and peaceful this must be a great place to stay in the summer. I cant recommend this accommodation highly enough.
Very characterful property with all the facilities required for a short break by a party of 10. Everywhere very clean and well maintained and the kitchen very well stocked with tableware, cook ware, utensils etc. Outside play area was well used by the children and lots of gamesequipment provided to use in the beautifully kept garden .The games room and hot tub went down well with the adults. Host was very helpful and any issues raised were resolved very quickly. Would certainly recommend this as a venue.

Lovely quirky very well equipped house, spotlessly clean with something to suit everybody for a multi generational holiday, hot tub, snooker table, croquet equipment, lots of games, books and water pistols. . plus a zip wire and children play area. Huge beautiful garden with lots of outside eating areas and summer house for peace and quiet when needed. David the owner and Mandy who organised everything couldnt have be nicer or more friendly. A wonderful house and a fabulous garden we had the best 4 days just wish it could have been longer. There was everything we could have needed for 7 adults 1 baby and 1 dog the hot tub was well used and we even saw a deer in the garden. Award Winning Farmhouse that sleeps 10, set in large garden grounds, perfect for large Family gatherings or group of friends. Plenty of easy parking. The owner David has thought of everything, from indooroutdoor games, snooker table and hot tub, what is there not to like. And Mill Farm has Donington Circuit and Alton Towers nearby.
We had a marvellous stay at Mill Farm last week with our three daughters and their partners and children. The size and layout of the house, particularly the ground floor, worked exceptionally well for the little ones, as did the beautiful extensive gardens and woodland. We used the hot tub, kept at a usable temperature throughout. Dave was a delight to talk to, and he and Mandy went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed meals inside and out, there being a large table on the patio. We would certainly recommend Mill Farm to our friends. Finally, the fact that Mill Farm is on the very edge of Milton gives privacy, as well as allowing the children to make as much noise as they wish.

Brilliant stay with friendly host on hand. Weve been staying as a multigenerational family in cottages for years and this has truly been the best garden weve experienced. Easy, quick walk to the local pub, but you also felt secluded away from any roads. We also were able to walk to local caves and resevoir, which was great. House was wellstocked with anything we needed.

Lovely to have lots of different places to eat and relax. Beautiful gardens. There were no large saucepans which would have made catering difficult if we hadn't bought our own. But it was lovely to have a properly stocked kitchen and not have to buy scissors and a tin opener etc. The hotcross buns and bread was a nice touch too. No half broken things around the house and it was very clean when we arrived. Clearly they have a huge amount of attention to detail and it shows. The fan in the smaller bathroom didn't work not an issue as we opened the window, but they probably want to look into it. Some mattresses could use a refresh esp room next to bathroom was very indented which impacted sleep Drains need plunging especially outside in courtyard bit as was a bit pungent.
Mill Farm is even more beautiful than the photos! Perfect for special occasions, groups of friends or families. We had an amazing stay. David host was so friendly and helpful. Milton and Repton are both lovely villages with great pubs. I've already recommended it to several people and would love to come back again at some point!

This is the second year we have spent at the cottage. We came back again as we enjoyed it so much the first time. This is a lovely house with everything you need. Both Dave and Mandy are very nice, friendly and eager to make your stay perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at mill farm. The property was even better than expected. We stayed for a family birthday and all three generations of us loved it. The zip wire was a massive hit with the grandkids. I honestly can't recommend it enough. Dave and Mandy at the property were great and we would love to return.
What a lovely welcoming house. Perfect for a family gathering with young children. Lots to do around the house, beautiful garden and very adaptable space. Great local pub too.
Tivo box in dining roomlounge may need updating wouldn't work with Netflix
