Great spot, would stay again

We had a lovely stay at this property, set in such a beautiful part of the country. The house was spotless and really comfy, with plenty of space upstairs. The en-suite shower was powerful, which was a bonus. It's quite good for a bigger family, although it felt a bit tight for eight adults. The enclosed garden with a fire pit and BBQ was greatand we absolutely loved the hot tub! The village Butcher and Baker are worth checking out too, especially for their hand thrown pizzas on Wednesdays. The Old Black Swan pub's theme nights, like Mexican Friday, are pretty fun too.

We really enjoyed exploring the village, popping into all the local shops and pubs. Honestly, I could see us settling in here! It's a perfect spot for visiting the tram museum and the memorial, plus trips to Bakewell, Matlockand Chatsworth. Coming back for a relaxing dip in the hot tub was the best way to end the day.

The location is perfect, close to lovely countryside walks and handy for local shops and pubs. The downstairs felt a bit smaller than the pictures, but we all managed comfortably - especially around the big dining table, which was perfect for Christmas. The hot tub was a hitand Richie was super helpful, replying quickly and answering all our questions. Great stay overall!
